Two models from the 50's,Kombat Kid & Stunt Model
« on: September 24, 2010, 06:37:58 AM »
Just returned from Binghamton NY and the son of a hobby shop owner where I worked in the 50's gave me these two planes. The Jet Stunter is from 1952 and I have a story about it in the Old Time Section. The Combat model is a "Kombat Kid" from the mid 50's. I never built a Kid but I did build some similar models using 1/4" balsa and a wing that measured 36x9". They looked like Quicker's but didn't fly very well. Anyone build one of these? VD~
