Title: Peacemaker
Post by: Bombat on August 08, 2007, 03:41:36 AM
I'm trying to get to grips with my first camera (ever!) so here are some shots of my latest toy, a Peacemaker for the uk one model event. Finish is tissue/nitrate/humbrol enamel on the fuz and koverall/nitrate on the wings with Japlac clear to fuelproof. Motor FP15 Scott Riese muffler apc 8x4 balsa uniflo tank weight 17oz. Note the lack of imagination re the colour scheme....I'm an ex combat flyer

What events are part of the "One plane" event?  I am not familiar with that.

Nice job on the Peacemakeer!

It looks terrific to me, I like simple paint schemes.  I think guys try to hide too many mistakes with too many details on their planes.  Let us know how well it flies.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

Thanks for the comments : and I obviously need to practice with the camera since the paint is quite bright in the flesh!

Bill, the Peacemaker event is a low key one : model must be a Peacemaker and the pattern is a version of our "vintage" schedule. Diesel engines are popular and I believe there is one version successfully competing with an Oliver Tiger using 15 degrees of offset said to improve line tension and slow things down!
