Hi Vince....
I believe that the Pathfinder is a great flying ARF and that it can be assembled with the minimum of modifications.
Most around here are powered by either OS 40s or 46s. I know that the ST would haul it well, and could be propped to the right speed. The only shortcoming might be the weight....mayhaps a tube muffler and moving the tank back a bit?
I think you ought to try it!

You'll enjoy the Pathfinder. The engine you're considering is a good one, with gobs of power. I believe it's more power than is needed, but you can always adjust with needle and props.

The plane was designed for a .40, and flies well with any modern one. Some find the LA.46 to be a good fit. Still use what you like, as long as the weight stays within reason, it'll do well.

The only mods I made are the elevator pushrod and regular hinges.

I think ST51 would be absolutely fine if you use lightweigh muffler(Not a stock one). Randy Smith makes very light tube mufflers. Tongue mufflers are fine too.

My ARF flies VERY well on TT 46 Pro. ST51 should be even better!
