We have lift off!
Nice weather today, 58 and light NE winds. Kreth, Arlan, Ryan and I went out to take advantage of one nice day. Tomorrow calls for rain in the Mid-South.
First flight was Ryan and his Streak. We had change out his tank and put a clunk tank on the inboard side of the fuse. As most know it is a little short on nose space. (We will be looking for help in another post with this little problem.)
As Ryan was done a guy walks up and introduces himself as a photographer for our local newspaper. He wanted to know if he could take some pictures of someone flying. We said SURE! He pulls out a camera with about a 4 ft lens and snaps some shots of Arlan flying Kreth’s Tutor. So we will see what we get in next weeks paper.
I did not know if the new TwistStang would fly with the new wing. I thought it might come in on me. But it did fine. I did not do much but a few wingovers but the LA 40 pulled it over the top with authority.
Kreth and Arlan kept working on Ryan’s streak until they got a good engine run. Ryan is out flying his old man. He is flying inverted for several laps, doing outsides, and eights.
We sure missed the rest of the gang, but maybe next time. I know a few folks had to work, one is on the mend, and another went out of town. Missed you guys.
Here are a few shots from today. Ryan took a lot of shots but it just takes time to get them down sized for posting.
