I am seeking a set of plans for the Parrott (sp) P-40 Warhawk as published in FM. Does anyone have access to those plans?

I wouldn't mind having a set of these also. What is price and availabliity? How many designs did Mr. Parrot have published? I have the Ryan ST plans, and I think he did a P-47 athat i would like to have also. Anything else?
Thanks in advance.

Friends,
The P-40, the Ryan ST and the P-47 are the only three that I can think of at the moments. I even got lost thinking of what magazine they were published in. Old Timer's Disease taking a hold of my ......... brain.

Carstens Plans Service is the location for all the Flying Models plans that is still available. I think some were lost in a fire years ago, but, we still have Tom Dixon, Barry Baxter and a few others still with plans. DOC Holliday

Flying Models has been through several hurricanes, floods and fires over the years, and they have lost most of their archives. I can't remember for sure but I think their listing stop somewhere in the late 60's. I have a complete collection of Flying Models magazine, including the mystery May,'54 issue, and I filled in some of the missing construction atricles they need for some of the plans that they hav. I think the three Parrot designs were in Amercan Aircraft Modeler. At least the Ryan was for sure. Those were the Hobby Helpers plan service I believe. There was at one time a gentleman that had all the Hobby Helper originals and copies, but He passed away, and I don't know what happened to them after that.
So many planes, and so little time!

Allan,
If you are asking about the Charles Parrott designs, his P-40 was in the Mar/Apr 63 issue of American Modeler. His P-47 was in the Jan/Feb 66 issue of American Modeller. His Ryan S-T was in the Jul 62 issue of American Modeler.
The AMA plans service lists the Parrott Ryan S-T, but I could not find any listing for his P-40 or the P-47.
These are the only semi-scale designs published by Parrott in the Classic era. I am not awre of any others that he designed.

The P-40 was in the March, 1963 AAM; P47 was in January, 1964 AAM.

You guys are wonderful. I love this stunt stuff. My personal Adams' Special flew Tuesday. We have a small warp to heat out of the wing and I desire to shorten the lines three feet. Should be in the ballpark with the Barnstormer and the Gary Hajek Adams' I flew for a while. Thank you Gary.

Allen,
Seeing as you are just down the Road from Joe Mader.....the next time you see him, can you give him a firm handshake from me.
I live in New Zealand, but Joe has been the best person I have ever dealt with.....I just cant get there to shake his hand to say thanks

I will be happy to do so.
