did anyone ever come up with a full size set of plans for the PAPOOSE??
-
I was doing an AutoCAD drawing of the Veco Squaw for one of my customers. As you are probably aware the Papoose is simply a scaled down version. My customer decided to drop his project so I am left with the ribs, wing and fuselage drawings on my computer. It would not be a lot of computer time for me to finish the fuselage formers, stab and rudder. After that I would only have to scale down the drawing and adjust the notches for standard size material. That would give you not only a full size drawing but also a parts drawing for construction or laser cutting.
If you are interested in this give me a call at 951-409-1277 or e mail at clflyer1943@gmial.com

That would be worth doing for have a set of plans for both models. Two C'L birds with one stone so to speak. Have a note on the digital file to blow it up to to the size needed for the model desired.

I have a modern set of plans for the PAPOOSE. Tom Dixon was responsible for them. I've had them for probably 10 years now. The engine shown in the nose is a Norvel .15 AME.

This is the VECO Papoose not the original with the polliwog airfoil, correct? Would love a set of the original would be OTS legal and great with a 15 Diesel.

I wonder if American "natives: have protested the use of "indian" names by Veco. Perhaps this was overlooked.

Well, the Veco would be the original. I don't think there was a Papoose when it was still Heco or Henry Engineering Company. Things may have changed with the Dumas version maybe?/ Hard to keep all of these straight!!

Where's Uncle Mikey Keville in Tuscon town? If I remember right he flew a Papoose in classic and did well with it. I still haven't located my kit in the shop. Of course back has kept me out of it for several weeks. If and when located it will be on its way to Mikey up north of me. D>K
