I just went there, logged in, and cruised around. It all seems to be working fine @ 1:42pm, Pacific Coast Time.
Not sure if they contact you, or not, regarding your username and password. It's been awhile... n~ Steve

If you sent in your check a couple of weeks ago, they probably haven't even opened your envelope yet.  I had the same issue when I joined and found out that they had a backlog of several hundred envelopes not even opened.  The man who handles that was recovering from surgery.

I believe the gent who processes renewals injured himself and is typing at a greatly reduced rate. It may take awhile.

That's true, Dave did fall and bust up his shoulder, and undergo surgery. He's plugging away at it, I'm sure. Several of us offered to help with the PAMPA chores, but it wasn't considered efficient. So, hang on and give him a chance to catch up. Meanwhile, maybe you can get a buddy to log into the PAMPA site and let you cruise?

You're quite welcome, gentlemen. Generally, our hard-working webmaster Bob Kruger takes care of the vast majority of these requests.  But I am still on as an admin (knowing just enough to create accounts - and just enough to wreck everything if I tried almost anything else) and if I happen by at the right time, I can do it too.

I am really surprised an organizaton of almost 1500 can let renewals and new signups go for so long without someone stepping in to correct the situation. I sent my form in (new member) on 11-10-09. The check was chashed but I have received nothing.

I sent a check to NSRCA (the RC Pattern Org.) on the same day. A week later I got their publication and login information to thier site - and, my check had not even been cashed at the time.

I am sorry this wasn't up to your expectations. As of yesterday we have split the duties of the secretary and treasurer to hopefully address the renewal issues by reducing the load on a single individual. Depending on when it was processed it could be that your membership missed the last SN issue so there would have been very little to receive as of yet. Send me an email (brettbuck@comcast.net) with your name and desired email address and I can set up your website account.

Please arrange to have a refund sent to me as I no longer wish to be a PAMPA member.

I note that you also emailed Dave Gardner this morning on the topic, with some apparent misunderstandings. The issues I refer to as potentially missed are those from the end of 2009, not 2010. Website access can be provided almost immediately.  I think we are still prepared to deliver what you signed up for and you haven't missed anything you are entitled to as a function of membership. That notwithstanding, there will be no problem issuing a refund if that's what you would prefer.

Right now isn't there a change of officers being under taken?  I need to send in my form as I think membership has lapsed.  Some people have as much patience as I do.  I want it done yesterday if possible. n1 #^

I faxed my PAMPA application to Dave Gardner late last October. He emailed me back confirming receipt, but as yet, that's all I've heard. I'm in agreement with those that think the process is taking way too long. I'm aware that Dave is recouping, and I certainly wish him the best recovery possible, but he should accept the help offered to get the applicatons processed.

Just a follow up to my last post. I decided to email Dave and see what's what. Seems my app was "in the wrong stack" HB~> HB~>. I can't believe how fast he got on my request and got it all straightened out! Thanks much to Dave for that effort. y1 I would recommend anyone with a PAMPA membership issue to contact him; he'll get it fixed.

All:

Thanks for the positive (and maybe some not so positive) comments about PAMPA membership renewal.  Relative to having assistance, my bride has helped me sort and open envelopes and put the stacks in alpha order for easier processing.  Functionally, however, there's no practical way to have more than one person do the data entry part, without potentially screwing up the entire file!  (there's gotta be a better way!).

In the interim, all memberships A-G have been processed.  The remainder have been sent to Noel Drindak, via Priority Mail (1/8/2010) for his attention, since he's the new Membership Chairman.  Everything was organized for data entry, but it does take awhile!

That said, ALL members with renewals in by now will be on the mailing list for the January/February Stunt News.....probably even those in the next couple of weeks..(and yes, John Holladay, yours is in that batch!)

I have asked Bob Kruger to NOT discontinue any web access until we get this batch of renewals up to date, so only the new members should have any awkwardness......and Brett, thanks very much for your help in this regard.

With a new (work) project on the boards, I'm also getting the PAMPA finances in order...that's why your checks have been cashed and your credit cards charged.  I apologize for those who have felt that my; response has not been what it could.  I'm into the 9th week of 12 of having my right arm in a sling, so there IS light at the end of the tunnel.  If you have questions or comments, just email me....I'll fit it in!

He must be swamped.  All the people/officers are great.  He spelled my name wrong, as almost everyone else, unless there is an actual John Holladay.  If we were not in such a hurry life would so much more pleasent.
