I downloaded mine ok about 2hrs after Bob first posted it.
Bob, I wonder if there's a network share file locking issue with some people trying to view it online that left it up on their screen vs/ saving it and reading it locally?

Edit: I just tried to download again for laughs, even though I already have it, and it let me start just fine. I cancelled of course, but it appears to be working for me still.

I cant even view the site. My computer tells me that it is the other computer's fault. You know how those computers are, always passing blame...

Derek - Try dumping your cookies in your cookies folder. Also dump your temp files...

As a default I set my Internet Explorer to dump all internet temps also every time I exit Internet Explorer. With broadband, (dial up is long gone for most of us I hope...) there's no reason to keep those temp files, and it helps keep your PC clean and more secure.

To do this:
Click the drop down for Tools/Internet Options. When the window comes up click the advance tab on the far right. Scroll down the Settings window until you reach the Security section near the bottom.
Check the box that reads "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed" Hit OK to apply and it will close the window for you.

Update: The problem with the PAMPA web site is not limited to just AT&T. Seems that routing and domain name resolution is broken somewhere. I have been on the phone with the techs. As soon as its fixed, you will hear about it here, or you will find out by the site coming up.

My thanks for everyone's patience.

Eric;

No locking problem.  It seems to be focused on one large ISP, but I need to confirm that.  I am also concerned that a damaged update for DNS servers went out and www.control-line.org is not resolving properly.

I just posted the following on SSW:

I am getting reports that some PAMPA members are not getting through to the PAMPA web site at all, e.g. just an error message. If you are, please email me and let me know where you are located who your internet service provider is.

Email address is b-k-r-u-g-e-r-@m-i-n-d-s-p-r-i-n-g-dot-c-o-m. Just remover the dashes and replace "dot" with a period.

Thanks.

If you have a local library with computers you might try using one of those to see if you can get through if you really get desperate, or if you're using a laptop you might try going somewhere that has free WIFI that might be using an ISP that can get through.

Update:

The PAMPA web site is up and running.  I can access it from both work and home.  The problem for those who can not access it seems to be with AT&T and ISPs that piggy back or route through AT&T.  It also seems that as of Saturday, the PAMPA web site is being blocked.

I will paste below the chat that I had with AT&T tech support this morning.  Needless to say, it is a near perfect example of polite but ineffective outsourced tech support from Mumbai.

I can go no further on this until we move the site elsewhere.  To try to get this cleared up, what might work is for AT&T subscribers is to report this as a problem to AT&T tech support.  Ask why IP address 216.10.246.91 is being blocked, and demand that it be unblocked.  If you read below, you will see why I need your help to get this moving, as I am not an AT&T subscriber.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kruger:  Can you get through to the site of www.control-line.org?

AT&T:  My apologies but we're unable to access third-party web sites from here. Mr. Kruger, it is now suggested that you have an AT&T customer contact us so we can create a ticket to our Broadband Internet Customer Support. This way, we can check the common web sites being blocked by the server and be able to open it for the customers.

AT&T:  Common root causes of AT&T customers not being able to surf to secured web sites may are :

* The Cipher strength on the browser may be too low.
* Certain security files may be corrupt.
* Firewall.
* Other browser configuration.
You may inform the customers about it and have them contact us for troubleshooting.

Kruger:  So, no one can tell me if our site is being blocked. It has nothing to do with what you just posted. Everyone could get to the site as of Saturday. Saturday afternoon, it was blocked.

AT&T:  Please see the information I provided above.

Kruger:  Again, it has nothing to do with that. Read again. Until Saturday afternoon, everything was fine. Then, AT&T subscribers got blocked.  Did the world change on Saturday afternoon to the point that all AT&T users were somehow blocked from our site by the hand of God? I think not. So, something changed, and we need to know why and what has to happen to fix this.

AT&T:  I completely understand. I am only providing you with the basic information about why the web sites are being blocked but since this only happened Saturday afternoon, we need you to have our customers contact us so we can create a ticket for escalation.  Mr. Kruger, thank you contacting AT&T.  Have a great day!

AT&T:  Sidney has left this session!

AT&T:  The session has ended!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lovely, just lovely.  So, I need some help here to try to get the web site unblocked.
