I sent my check in for a new member back in January. I received 2 copies of Stunt news last month. Then received a email saying I'll be receiving password to the site. And then received the current mag but no password. I have sent Emails with no responce. What is normal processing time for Pampa?

I am not the PAMPA webmaster but I think Brett Buck can help you with your password. I'm not sure but thats a SWAG.

Normally yes, but but any more, I am in the same boat right now, I can't log on any more either for some reason!
Your user name is "First_Last". Put that in, then use the Password Reminder button. It will send you a message with your password, if you have one, and your status. As mentioned, if you don't get an email for this in a few minutes, they likely have the wrong email address or they haven't created your account yet. Report this using the PAMPA Webmaster link

I recommned you contact Jim Vornholt.
jvornholt@indy.rr.com
He is the current PAMPA Sect / Treasurer. If he does not have the answer, he will point you in the right direction.
In response to your answer, PAMPA is pretty responsive. Jim Vornholt is a volunteer, as am I.
Hope this is helpful.

Bob Kruger maintains the site. Request PAMPA support on the PAMPA website. I was having the same issues. Bob emailed back and told me there was a problem with the server and recommended a work around.

I've been sending Jim Vornholt e-mails for two weeks and have not received a response. Is he OK ? :)

Jim Vornholt is "enjoying" a new computer with Windows 8 and Live Mail... and his enjoyment further enhanced by missing great gobs of emails until I think he finally dumped the new software in favor of something that works. I believe he has it working now and is finally starting to catch up. I would re-send any emails not responed to by Jim and assume they were lost in the shuffle.
I just tested my PAMPA login, and it appears to be working at the moment.

After being the Products Column "editor" and a District Director, I can only say good things about the way I was always treated by the other "officers".
One thing that kinda chapped me was that I have been told (not by Jim V. yet) by previous Sec/Treas. that I had to send a paper trail to renew my membership. I do not have a working printer! For a LONG time all I did was call and give a card number. I have absolutely no idea as to why that simple solution would not still work.
I love PAMPA, love Stunt News, love the guys involved, but I am not presently a member.

I am sure it can be sorted out.
You know, but a lot of people don't fully appreciate, how much work the various people do on behalf of the PAMPA members. Particularly the secretary/treasurer around this time of the year (December to February/March). It's more than a full-time job to keep track of all this stuff, make sure everyone gets the right information, etc. A lot of the officers (and I know as a Director and VP) have it easy, it's the Secretary/Treasurer , Newsletter editor , and website maintainer who do the lion's share of the work.

Thanks everyone. I did not mean to ruffle feathers. I just had not received my log-in info. I figured with the membership renewal in Jan. it might be a while. I did get it today. Thanks Brett, Jim and the others for getting this straightened out. Now I,m gonna check out the website ;D.

I sent my check in on Jan 2 (slipped my mind this year). As of March 5th I still could not get on the web site and had not received my latest Stunt News. I emailed Jim V. and Bob K. They both were very helpful. Jim called me on the 7th and we got it all worked out. Just a clerical error.

Rick;
No feathers ruffled on my end.
My thanks for your patience, and my personal regrets that you did not have access for so long. I try to get back to everyone who emails me with an issue within 24 hours. Sometimes it takes longer if I am traveling.
If you would, email me directly if you have any other issues the PAMPA website.

I mailed my check for membership & magazine subscription on Jan 1st and have received nothing from Jim. I have sent him several e-mails and no answer as of yet.
I did e-mail Bob Kruger and he responded immediately and managed to get me a password so I can access the website, so thanks to Bob! 8)
However, I find the lack of response from Jim, as well as the lack of magazine hard copy, and membership info to be rather troublesome ??? since I paid for them and my check has been cashed.

Check your junk mail folder. I had the exact same problem and it turned out every time they sent me the password my wonderful computer put it in the junk folder. Shareen still gives me heck for that episode! y1

Not a junk mail issue in my case.
Normally when you send someone an e-mail and they reply, it does not go into junk mail 8)
Doesn't explain the "no magazine" issue either since that's sent snail mail
Like I said above, Bob provided me with a password which is working so far (by e-mail)

I've had E-Mails from people I know and recognize their address. But, after losing the computor because of the last one, I don't open their messages anymore. PM works for me on here.

Problem is that in the fight against spam, ISPs/service providers have gotten tougher with their filtering protocols. They now do IP alignment with known IP addresses. With IP V4, there are limitations in the number of IP addresses that are available, and the world has long exceeded that. So, service providers such as the one that hosts PAMPA runs their sites under a range of IP addresses that can be sub filtered (for lack of a better term) and then resolved by them. However, when it gets to the destination, if the IP address contained within the message does not directly resolve to what is given by the Domain Name Server, it gets rejected and bounced back.
I get many of them and now have to resolve them manually with an email sent from my home account. Just one more thing to do... HB~> And sometimes, I just don't see them for a multitude of reasons.
As for the hardcopy issue, once Jim V. is back on his feet he and PAMPA will square with you. Jim had a bad fall early in the year, and spent a while in the hospital recovering. He just had his arm operated on to repair damage done in the fall, and is again in recovery.
However, I am sure that if someone would sally forward and offer assistance or be a backup, the offer would be gladly accepted. Any volunteers?
Otherwise, patience is appreciated. And if anyone is dissatisfied with the website access response time, I will be honor bound to refund to PAMPA the high salary paid. H^^

To put it more succinctly, it's not like PAMPA is some major corporation with multiple employees to handle the various functions. It's a few people working out of their bedroom, garage, or den in their spare time.
Mostly, that's a big advantage in a very small organization, because it's personal, it's small, and it's efficient (not to mention cheap or free). It is however dependent on a few individuals and it comes after their other life commitments or issues. It's not any different from any other of the cottage industries, they are people working out of their garages. In this case one of those people is dealing with more important issues. We need to be patient and I am sure that it will work itself out soon enough. Or, volunteer to assist.
