paint question

First time poster...Does anybody know if I can use just a regular lacquer thinner to thin sig clear dope?  Love the site!  Thanks.  Robert

I have tried many thinners. They are the ones that are not cheap! They must be virgin type like Dupont 3608 or Sherwin Williams. Do not use cheap thinners that are used to clean guns, those thinners usually cost 10.00 for 5 gallons. If you use it in the clear you must use it all the way through the paint job.Test FIRST!
