In regards to the LA 46 setup, I will have more eventually, but at this point I can definitively say it is hard to make a LA 46 run bad.  They are really great motors for the money.

The UHP Big Vig hemi for the LA 46 will be available soon (I saw the tool the other day).  This head gets LA 46 into a little sweeter compression range and appears to allow for more options in terms of prop (Eric Vig still tunes his hemi to even lower compression with approximately .025" shims).

The idea with the would be to allows the user to tune the engine to get more of NW hemi ST 46/60 run over the standard pipe run like high RMP 4-2 or 2-2 that the LA seems to do pretty well right off the bench.

I recommend a PA needle and a Brodak tongue muffler for all LA 46 engines, no matter the compression ratio used.  I typically end up with the muffler plugged with several screws.

Thanks, Brad.  I have a like new .46LA, but my experience has only been with flying a TEOSAWKI using one.  Several are in use around here, and they seem to be easier to run than the .40LA.

Right now, I am looking to run it on a moderately large profile, but I want a more traditional run that you are referring to.
