Check this Sea Fury out. Built and flown by Monty Summach @ the 2023 Canadian team trials. Respectable 4th against some of the top pilots in Canada.

Thanks for sharing that. Was this a Rabe Sea Fury or his own design?
-
Walter, to be honest I am not sure If its his or Al's design. Its not his first Sea Fury so i am guessing Its a little bit of both by now
-
This is from the MAAC CL TEAM TRIAL REPORT.
-
That’s Monty’s second Sea Fury, both his own design.
I’m not certain of this one’s power plant but I think his earlier one was propelled by a 61.
-
But power was mistakenly listed as a PA 75. It is in fact a PA 61.

Great looking plane. Even with the camera not being in the right place you can see where he gave away points. Of course he is probably still trimming the plane but hsi bottoms need to be more consistant as well as his intersections. Really he is a much better pilot than me. Stay with it kid. D>K

Thanks for your comments. The team trials was a very good contest highlighted some (many) areas where I could make improvements. Doc said it, bottoms and intersections.
This Sea Fury is inspired by Al Rabe, but is my own design. Airfoil is different, flaps area is less, tail volume is greater, nose is longer. Pipe runs through the fuselage above the wing.
Power is PA61. It has not been a trouble free ride, but is getting better day by day.

The video was a practice flight. Hope he doesn't mind, but here's some of his official flights i recorded.

It sounds *exactly" like the setup I used on the PA61, it's kind of uncanny.
