Title: P40 movie
Post by: kevin king on December 09, 2018, 05:39:35 AM
Anyone remember this 1973 Tv movie? I remember this as a 9 year old kid. It was the first time I ever seen or knew what a P40 looked like. Its about this crazed German commander in a tank, hunting down a damaged P40 in the desert. Well... Here it is! The movie starts after a few trailers. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/issFhJbiD1U

yup! 'member seeing this.  Who remembers Roy Thinnes in "the Invaders", Lloyd Bridges in "Sea Hunt", Doug McClure in "Journey to the Center of the Earth"? Good stuff!

Anyone notice in one of the scenes, when the plane jumps into the air the spinner is yellow and when it lands it's red? (or the other way around) 😁

I remember seeing a P-40 on the ground at BUR around 1979. I believe it was Cliff Robertson's. While I was in the pattern I saw it zoom up and fly away. That was a pretty cool sight.

Better yet, did you notice that upon takeoff the bomb was NOT attached, but later on in flight it appeared attached to the rack? Gotta love these goofs!

Nit pickers.   A lot of great movies had flaws but were still enjoyable.  Even flaws in todays movies. S?P
