The Ozark Control Line Club is a rather recently formed organization. The membership has people from Southwestern Missouri, Southeastern Kansas and Northeastern Oklahoma. Terry Bolin who posts here regularly has provided a flying field in Neosho, Mo. Terry, Jack Dock and Keith Spriggs are some of the active members. They all attend several of the local contests.
They are hosting a Stunt Judging Clinic and Fun-Fly on Saturday and Sunday, June 7-8. See their announcement in the Calendar or Events Section.

Best of luck with the new club, it's nice to see growth in the C/L clubs. If your club initiates any type
of newsletter I would be interest in an exchange. I do the newsletter for our club and it's always nice to have
a new source to steal from !!!!

Congrats on your Ozark CL Club...ahhhh the memories. Here is a photo of Grand-daddy holding my twin sister and me...out behind the Basin Park Hotel after the morning rush breakfast hours.
GADS! Sobering thought...but not only do I look n' awful like my grandfather when I look in the mirror..but also------------------I came into this world...BALD and it appears that I am certainly going to leave this world the same way. (Bald and unable to use my right hand?) LL~
I would love to see that part of the country again....especially in the fall. The hills become a blast of color...like no other place on this earth that I have seen.
All the best...and hopefully those horrific storms will soon be over and great flying weather will once more be upon you and yours..

Great photo. I myself look nothing like my grand dad or my dad. But, the Ozarks is the place that I would most like to be if it weren't for model planes. Dad always said the Ozark's is where GOD dumped the left overs after creating this great country of ours. Also he would live nowhere else as he said they were the greatest people on Earth. Have fun and hope your club grows. DOC Holliday

does the club have a web site?

Sorry guys, I'm not smart enough or good enough to sucker someone into running a web site. We fly weekly or anytime the others feel like showing up. We have a GREAT bunch of outlaws flying and laughing. Keith Sprigg keeps us all laughing and shows us how a biplane is suppose to act. Ken Nash provides the top gun flying and coaching, followed by Jack Bryan of Rogers Arkansas who also is a great pattern flier. Jack Dock runs his own little sweat shop in the back yard pumping out planes almost by the week. (Great builder).. He's going for the "Most improved" 2008 flier. We have several others who stop by and you too would be more than welcome!
Contact me if you need additional help.

I went down last weekend for their clinic. What a great bunch of guys to hang out with!! H^^ H^^ H^^
Bill Marvel put on a very informative afternoon clinic on stunt rules and the pattern.
It was a 'bit' breezy but the BS was flowing freely LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ Keith Spriggs and I managed to Slob around a bit until the planes were a bit the worse for wear!!
Lots O fun!!!
Looking forward to the event they are thinking of this fall...
