You know, one great advantage of electric, in my opinion, is that you could almost fly it in bare minimum dope and filler, just to test it and see how it goes. If things aren't quite what you want, you can make changes before you get to the final finish, and not have any fuel soaking to be concerned with, which can happen in on the first few flights. I think Jack Sheeks wrote in one of his articles that he always test flew his models and made sure they would do the pattern before the final finish was applied. I think he said he always did the full pattern on the first flight, if it wouldn't do it then, it's not worth the effort!! Or something like that!
Once you have it test flown successfully and are satisfied, then you can apply the final finish and adjust the ballance as needed. Just a thought.
