Fitted with a Russian combat 15 so should be quite a scary model.  It has come out at 14oz and I am looking forward to flying it.
I haven't run the engine, an Ebay aquisition, yet and I understand that these engines are high revving and are best with a smaller prop than I would use on an Oliver.  The engine feels really nice when flicked over.

I covered mine with nylon bought new from my local modelshop.  I think that this nylon was not the best I have used as it was very reluctant to shrink.  I put it on wet in the same way I always have but when dry it seemed to be more wrinkled than before.  It also didn't shrink much with the dope.

Was always told nylon only goes on as tight as you put it on.   It does not shrink.  But, it seems to last for ever compared to silk.

Flew it for the first time tonight.  It is scarily fast probably the fastest combat model I have ever flown and must be doing 100mph plus.  It is certainly faster than any of the rat racers I have flown.  Not only fast but turns tighter than any of the combat models I used in competition. It is also quite loud on an APC 6.3x4 prop.  I wish I had one of these when I was younger!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike that plane is from the days when "REAL MEN" flew combat. Well that sounded good what ever" REAL MEN" means. I do remember those small .15 powered combat models with super hot .15's on them. I had one or two and with 52 ft lines it was fast. I could not do it today. Have fun untill it goes BOOM

I used a hairdryer to get the nylon covering tight as a drum back
in 75 on my "Blitzkrieg" Combat models with MVVS D7 Dieselpower.
Dont get to close, just heat up the spot slowly.
Afterall check the wing for straight trailingedge.
A heatgun would be an overkill  temperature wise.
