Butch, I belong to the burlington club. Mostly r/c there but we do host two c/l events a year. I am a hour east of the club and your about a hour west. There is also Crist Rigotti, North of you about an hour or so. When the weather breaks drop me a e-mail we'll go flying. Here's a link to the club.   https://sites.google.com/site/burlingtonmodelairplaneclub/Home

Hi Butch.  I live in North Liberty, near Iowa City.  There is a C/L in Des Moines area.

 If nothing else for now Butch, try to make it to the Polk City Spring Kickoff coming up May 4th and 5th. It's just a short drive northwest of Des Moines/Ankeny.

Also Butch, if you aren't that far from the Polk City flying field you are in  good shape.   Great bunch of guys up there.   Hope to make it this year.  Depends on the bank book.

Bob Nelson flies off of Sig's runway up at Montezuma.  SL Combat and sport/stunt plus rc.  The Sig factory is only about an hour north of you in Montezuma - come on up and visit.  bobsrc@zumatel.net

  Hi Butch;
    If you were in Mascoutah. you were right across the river from the Lafayette Esquadrille and Buder Park. Did you ever stop by on our side of the river? Maybe run into you at the Polk City contest. Haven't been there before, but may go this year since the SIG contest won't be happening.
   Type at you later,
    Dan McEntee

 Would be great to see Dan, Doc and all of you folks at Polk City this year. If you decide to come get your rooms at the Super 8 in Ankeny. That's where most stay and there is a decent Mexican restaurant right next door, with some very tasty margaritas! ;D
