Sorry For The Delay

I have two projects going right now.  I am almost finished with the building thread of the Electric Take Apart Ringmaster that Eric Rule has come out with and I was in the process also of putting up a new website for Control Line Builders only..not a forum like this but a static website.

I have been battling increasing pain in my spine due to degenerative discs and have had to step away from the building bench and the website because of the bending during construction of the model and the long hours of sitting in this chair trying to work on the website.  I do finish projects when I start but i just had to put some things on hold for a while because of the pain.

I had my followup appointment today to discuss the MRI and Bone Scan with my Neurosurgeon and see what the prognosis was and found that I need a third surgery and a fusion of the L5 and S1 vertebra.  This procedure will take place on April 17 so I have a little over a month to try and finish these projects I have started.  I think I can get the building thread of Eric's new Electric Take Apart Ringmaster done in that time but I doubt I will get the website finished as that takes a lot more thought and time so I apologize for that.

I have no idea how long it will be before I will be able to get back to it but I will as soon as I am able.  When an illness or physical problem like chronic pain forces you into a lifestyle you don't want to be in, it really sucks and becomes so damn depressing.  You get so tired of fighting because unrelenting pain will just wear you down to nothing.

So...on a brighter note the Doc says this should alleviate about 70% of the pain and I believe I can fly again with just 30%

Please excuse the off topic post here but I felt I owed you guys an explanation for the delays...

Hey Mike, you need to take care of number 1 first, yourself.   My problem is a doctor that says nothing he can do for me.   No more prescribed pain pills as they were doing no good.   If I sit or stand for any length of time I have trouble getting things, legs/knees, to move again.   I keep telling myself I lust need to ignore the pain and just do things.   The family gets irritated because I move slow at times, but when I put my mind to it I can get going good.   Anyway, take care of yourself.
