Joe, Chris, Dave, and I along with several other volunteers flew the kids at EAA Kidventure. The smile on those kids faces were priceless. I even had a few kids solo.
If you ever get to the Oshgosh fly in you have to give this a try. You get back way more than you give. What a blessing it was for us. We talked about the kids enjoyment on the drive home.
Doug Geri and Melissa put a lot of work in pulling it together. Big thanks to them.
I did see the AMA president and past president walk up and ask that they get involved. They agreed and I got them connected with Doug. We will see what happens.
A few photos from today. I'm bushed.

Paul and Chris Sterner are heroes of mine. They stay out there in the heat and do flight after flight and both think they get more out of this than they give. I got tired just being a pit man. Everyone should try and do this one time, even if it's just fueling and launching planes. The look on these kids faces is priceless.

I did KidVenture for 16 years in a row and have had literally thousands of kids and adults on the handle. It was our group in St. Louis that came up with the ToughBaby plane that you see in the pictures. A job change ( a couple of them actually!) interrupted my attendance but hope to go back next year for at least a couple of days. One side benefit of working KidVenture is that we get to fly models at the circle after things have shut down for the day, usually after the afternoon airshow. people walking back to their cars often stop and watch and a lot comment that we put on as good a show as what they just saw! We have met many nice and some famous people in the evenings. Lots of special memories have been made up there and I encourage everyone to consider attending. Thanks for the pictures Paul!
