OS LA .40 Back plate and OS NVA???
« on: October 14, 2006, 06:37:40 PM »
Any one know the part # for the back plate and standard NVA for the OS LA .40?

I want to get rid of the remote NVA and get a metel back plate.

I have been chasing engine runs all day and I have had it.

Thanks
Paul

PS- I tried searching the site but came up empty.

Backplate for OS .35/.40 FP fits. Tower has them in stock for $5.

I don't care for the OS NV Assemblies, tho others prefer them. They have a failure mode that ST's do not.  I'd suggest the ST G.51 unit from Tower.  http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFY25&P=M

Steve,
Do you have to drill out the vent to get the ST NVA to fit?

Affirmative. I use a #20 drill (.161"). There are lots of .156" spraybars made, but very few .135". More options when you break one, maybe will keep you flying instead of waiting. When the OS NV assembly gets crashed, it can start working funky, not following the tweeks, changing in the air, etc. The ST types either work or are broken, nothing in between. That's good, IMO.   :P Steve

Paul,

You will have to drill the case and venturi if you go with a Super Tigre.  Let me know if you need a drill bit.  I should have some extras.

Not sure I want to drill out the hole. Once I do that I can never go back.
I think for now I will stick with the OS.

Leester that part number you give is for the .25, is that the right one?

Thanks
