Title: Original Ringmaster

I was there last week,bought most of the C/L hdwre,including some PERFECT bellcranks .Now i here they aren't any good(at least not stock)
What is the new engine going into?

We just didn't have the heavy duty airplanes we have now. I know Veco was supposed to be the bellcrank back then, but, Perfect was lower in cost. The Perfect will work in sport planes. DOC Holliday

Read about the Perfect bellcranks. ??? I looked in my spare bellcrank drawer and have a new perfect and a used Veco bellcranks. Will use the Veco for a Fox 35 barnstormer I am building.

On the other hand my father said he would take a Goldberg Shoestring before the Ringmaster. If you go to RSM distribution site the have an OTS legal Ringmaster kit,that would give you an idea what they look like.Barry Baxter plans site has plans for the Sterling version.

You've shown us pictures of your new Superclown. So I know you are familiar with that plane. A superclown is basically a Ringmaster with flaps. I hope this gives you a good idea of what a Ringmaster looks like.

I put a fox 35 on it and it flew like a dream, even tho I was scared to death!..Was only a sport flyer, but it do anything I asked it. I have just gotten back into cl after 30 years and bought a full size set of plans and a set of original building plans off ebay, as well as a 40th ann. fox35nib for 40 bucks!!!!!. That is my meager feedback on a plane that started a great hobby..hope this helps..regards, Bob #^

Yes I have been reading about the Brotherhood of the Ring in CLW. Thats what got my initial interest. I liked the look of them. Then I started looking around for one. The kits seem a bit over priced as they are obviously a collectors item, so I might scratch build one from a plan. Seems like the cheapest way for me anyway.

Hi Doc,

I went to reply and got the "Warning"! LOL!!

I am going to say the same thing as Doc, get one of Eric's kits if you can! You can plans build one, but in the end the RSM kit will ease a lot of aggravation and build very light.
