Title: One of ours could use a little moral support
Post by: John Miller on August 09, 2011, 12:58:25 PM
For those who know Gordan Delaney, his father passed away this past weekend at 92. I just spoke to Gordy on the phome, and he's more affected than he thought he would be, even though, they knew it was coming, he still wasn't ready for it to happen.

His e-mail, Gordandelaney(at)yahoo(dot)com

Thanks

Hi Gordy, I lost my Dad 2 years ago Tuesday so I can feel for you its a huge void in your life, my Dad was my best friend we did everything together he died in my arms and I miss him as much now as the day he passed. I am glad he is no longer suffering because the Cancer was brutal to him and sometimes I think the Chemo was worse. For me with time I am getting used to him being gone, I don't think you ever fully get over it, and all I can do to honor him is try and be as good a Dad to my Daughters as he was to me and watch out for my Mom. I am thankful for the time we had together and the memories of him will live on in my heart, be strong for those left behind and you will be ok. God bless you and your family. T.J.
