I have offered on here the chance for people to come and get a plane or more to fly. My knees have said no more flying solo. also ahve no vehicle to load up so I can even try. But, after the first of the year I am going to remove engines and start disassembling planes for the trash The hardware wil be offered later. Text me if interested at 913 553 8635. D>K

If I was closer, I'd take you up on the offer. But I'm in the Dallas area, so that's a long drive.

I'm headed to KS next week so my wife can see a friend, but I doubt she'd be happy if I added six hours to our trip.....

John, so sad to know that. Do you still be able to build? that would be a nice thing to keep doing for relaxing and keep going despite the non flying situation
but i know that comes a day for all of us

I have run out of room to build. The family doesn't seem to want to help me by flying the planes or helping me with what I would like to try with the office chair that I can spin on. Thought I had room in back yard until a play house was erected by grandaughter and a swing set by daughter. But the book I am reading has convinced me I should just let every thing go to whoever will use it. Need to make list of planes as some are in the storage area of the shop. D>K

I hear ya Doc. My back is only good for about 10 or 15 minutes in the grocery store pushing a cart. Flying control line is pretty much out of the equation. Still fly my Old Time free flights with ignition engines and radios, once in a while at my Grand daughters farm. Even though that is illegal soon without a transponder.
I still have most of my planes, and enjoy my time remembering how they all flew. I have given away a few to my great Grand kids to hang in their rooms.
And, I still enjoy running my ignition engines on the test stand in my back yard as most of the neighbors are gone all day during the week. And I live at the end of a dead end street in the middle of a small community of 10 houses in the country.
I do really miss flying and the comradery though. Made a lot of friends over the years. No one really understands what we do except other control line flyers. I started flying models in the late 40's, and it has almost been continuous all my life in one form or another.
So, I still enjoy my planes even though they are all static now. But they all bring back some great memories. I have some I built 50 years ago, still flyable.

Hi Doc, I'm in Blaine MN. About 6 1/2 hours from you. The good news for me is my wife and I like to take an occational road trip. But the wife likes to keep it under 5 hours. I will talk to her tonight and see if see is open to a spur of the moment trip. I would love to save some planes. I could share with my club members at the MPLS Piston Poppers. I will confer with my wife and see how our schedules look for the near future and get back to you ASAP.

Okay. Text me if you do: 913 553 8635 . D>K

I'm 9 hours away and I love road trips. What kind of control line models do you have?
-
Okay fellows, let me get a list made up. D>K

Still no list other than after today I have a couple of Ringmasters and some smaller versions. Several biplanes, 38 Special, Fokker by SIG and another I can't recall right now. Getting dementia I guess. Bill Schwagerman left here with his wagon loaded, hope him and his brothers get a lot of use out of them. Have another couple coming in Friday fromm out of town to look. Oh tjere is the Tom Tom and a profile of Phil Cartier's design. H^^

John,
I can't get to your place until after Christmas. But if you could please hold back one Ringmaster of any size or variant. I don't need one for old time stunt. I just would like to have a Ringmaster of any variation so I can put in flights on Ringmaster Day next year.
Thanks,
Joe Ed Pederson

Okay guys I should have been clear on this. I've been told people are coming with trailers to pick up stuuf and sell it. Thr planes are being given to pepple who will clean them up and fly them. So far the two who have shown up promised me they would not sell the planes but give them to some one who will use them. The kits, engines and hardware will go up for sell in the future. Later. D>K
