One mans opinion
« on: November 03, 2006, 01:05:18 PM »
This is news that I think should be allowed here. Please do not turn this into any political banter. Posted by Bob Zambelli on SSW.

If I may clarify a few points regarding Cl World:
All Brodak customers and P.A.M.P.A. members will get a free copy of the premier issue.
John and Tim did an excellent job of rounding up some talented individuals as contributing editors – all the articles are informative and VERY well written.
It will grow and improve – you can expect to see a safety column (guess who may write it!!). There should also be a contest report section.

John and Tim are to be commended for putting out a top quality magazine that will focus on every phase of C/L flying.
I spoke to some of their staff last weekend and learned that a monumental effort was put out by all to get it compiled, printed, bound and mailed as soon as possible.
It is not meant to compete with but to compliment some fine publications that are already out there.
Take another look at post # 18 in the thread titled “Control Line World” – you will not see as varied and comprehensive an assortment of C/L related topics in any other magazine. AND, it’s going to grow.
One fellow mentioned team racing – I think that would be a great addition. Let’s hear from someone who wants to pitch in. You can even get your picture in the magazine.

Give it a chance – read, enjoy, make suggestions for improvement. Volunteer to write articles that will advance and enhance the Sport of Control Line Model Aviation.

If this is approached in an open-minded and intelligent way, it will be win-win for everyone who flys C/L.

If for some reason you don’t wish to read your free CL World, don’t bad-mouth it.
Instead, just pass it on to someone who was not on the mailing list.

Bob Z.

I like Flying Models. I like Stunt News. I'm looking forward to Control Line World. The only problem is I don't know if I'll be able to afford the alimony and child support payments when my wife finds out I subscribed to yet another magazine:)

peace,
Ken

When you subscribe have it delivered to work that way the wife will never know, and you can use the money you save by not having to pay child support and alimony to buy more model airplanes. x: **) x: **) x:  **) x: **)

Even my mother in law subscribes to FM for me. I got them fooled somehow.  A gift that lasts all year long.  Tell her it is  a real bargain. She'll love that line.  y1 #^
I'm still waiting... How much is the subscription going to be? ???
