Ouch! We've all had knucklehead moments (and I've got the scars to prove mine).

At 24 minutes, he's bandaged himself, and appears to have chosen to not seek medical attention.

He then essentially repeats the test at full power except he uses one hand holding the fuse to restrain the model while still pointing the model at his belly.  Any failure in a motor mount, wing mount, prop mount will inflict yet more injury.   I could not watch further.

What do you mean, it's just an electric motor, not even a real engine, right? How could that possibly hurt you?

   Darwin, indeed.

Yes we all deserve a stupid tag every so often.  Don't n ask Dave Trible about when I wanted to fly the B-25 the first time.  Thanks, to him and some quad copter racers I made it to emergency room even though I felt no pain.  They put everything in the wagon and locked it up.  Dave took me to emergency room where the tech cleaned the area and put in 11 stitches.  Less than two weeks later I was in surgery getting the tendon put back together then once it was good it therapy began.      Interestingly, what is double nutty is that seems to be an Airfix plastic model, that is, polystyrene static display model.

I believe the correct quote would be…

“Hold my Ale…”

Hello  That is painful to watch , should have run it up without the props or had a proper restraint harness attached to the model. Too many mangled fingers out there which I say after I put my thumb into a prop today but only a bruise for me today.

Regards Gerald

Ah yes, not the greatest advert for common sense.

Everything about this tells me he's a raw novice, we have lots of those in my local club here in England. You end up spending most of your time just saving them from themselves!

Yup for sure Mark...the poor bloke reminds me of Andy Capp. He should have listened to his misses last night after staying too long at the Rose and Crowne drinking far too many pints with Chalke. Last he heard before almost cleaving off a digit was her yelling down saying "get yerself out of that old shelter you cant even see straight, and you call yerself a modeler....hardly"
