Christ I believe you can enter up until about noon Monday-paying a small sum more than an early entry.  If you do you will HAVE TOO be at the 180 building before 2:00 pm Monday with your airplane for appearance judging and the pilots meeting/ flight order draw.

Dave
I got registered using my phone.  See you guys at the 180 bldg. tomorrow.
Thanks.

Thanks for all the "on the scene" reports.  Excellent format.

Keep up the photos of the score boards, as possible.  If Intermediate becomes available, looking forward to the results.

Keep the reports coming gentlemen.  Wish I could be there but, I've been grounded again after last Friday.  Was told to not be out in the heat(only 90 degrees).  Hate to think what our circle is going to be like with Dave at the NATS. D>K

With threatening skies and heavy wind Classic/N30 is complete with only one airplane arriving prematurely with little damage.  Joe Gilbert won Classic,  Michael Schmitt N30.  Now Old Time is beginning in the teeth of even more wind.  Three or four chose to leave their airplanes in the car.  The rest go on..

Amazing that Paul got the Anteater back together. I saw the pic of the crash. Real talent, there. Wonder what the overall weight gain was?

With that complete I’d guess that’s about all the flying for today.  This weather hasn’t changed and evening practice seems doubtful unless this all blows out before dark.

Even though OTS is an unofficial Nats event, it is discouraging to find participation is so light.  We have more OTS activity at smaller local contests.

Well it  was not bad but six dropped out because of the wind leaving 7 flyers. Was blowing almost 20 mph as old time started.

Today was nuts with the wind over at the Carrier circle!  A mess of unscheduled landings, a couple pretty bad wrecks.

Went from the left to the right in just over 6 days and received 18 appearance points at the Nat's. Happened just over two weeks ago now, or 11 days before leaving for the Nat's. Let's of late night sessions to get it done. Thank goodness for the "auto" clave to dry things..paint, newly molded parts, epoxy etc...

Well, Impact2019 is now on its 4th life.
It was on its 2nd on Wednesday when it quit going uphill on my first qualifying flight. By most measures, it should have crashed.
Today, on its 3rd life, on my first flight of Thursday,  the leadout clips caught in the inside squares, and locked up. It was on the way to the ground and just in time it released and avoided the ground.
So  it is now on its 4th life.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Amazing!  The gremlins are obviously working a little OT here. I'd spray it with a can of Raid, wait 30 minutes, and try again. Don't know if Raid will kill gremlins, but it might make them lose enough interest in your plane that they leave you alone for a while. Lol!!

Seriously, don't let it get to you. You, of all people, know what to do. Just remain confident and go do it!

Nothing on PAMPA either. By text I know the first round is done. Walker had to bail out, but plane ok. Oresties "looked" best. Derick may have hurt himself somehow in practice, no details. Waiting for next text, if still nothing here, I will post.

Most of the first two rounds posted on the live scores. Looks like Paul recovered on his bail out on the first round and posted the high score of 569. everyone else is within  a couple points of him

Derek removed a chunk of meat from his arm in the prop but got it wrapped up and went on.  He had the cloud of hades blow in over him on his first flight.  He took off in great conditions but a heavy, dark cloud band rolled over during his flight shifting a strong wind 180 degrees with the judges scrambling to get to the other side.  Once he landed the cloud dispersed.  A great job of navigating that at any rate.
