HI Cliff,
Welcome to Stunt Hanger! There are now several forum members in your general "area". Of course Alan Hayes from Hayes Hobby House, Pat Maset is in Parkton, I am across the reservation in the Southern Pines/Aberdeen area.
Try to make it to Huntersville for Saturday (all day) or Sunday (morning). It is a very well run contest!

I found a piece of flat safety (laminated) glass at a glass shop. My luck, they had cut it an inch too short for the application. It measures 18 x 42. Got a bargain. Laminated safety glass won't break as easily. I build with the plan under the glass and use weights and tape to hold things in place.

Thanks for the offer Will and replies guys. I have a little dilemma. I have to be at the speedway in Hickory / Newton Saturday for a points race. Deal is we suffered heavy front end damage last Saturday at Southern National and some of the parts we need have to be made. We haven't had to miss a race this season yet but we might if we can't get the car back together. I called the crew chief and he said he would know by Monday or Tuesday if we were racing or not. If not, I would love to go to Huntersville.
I will email you Will, Monday or Tuesday if that's not too late. Thanks for the offer, I accept.
Bill Little, I think I know you from about 17 - 18 years ago. If I'm not losing my mind, I met you a few times at Hayes and you invited my friend and I to watch you do some flying at a school parking lot somewhere near Southern Pines I believe ? Were you a coach or writer ? If it wasn't you I apologize but who ever it was they sure could fly a mean handle. I was impressed !
Again thanks,
Cliff

A good place to pick up glass for a building table is at a Good Will store. They have glass top tables all the time for $10- to $25 . Saw a glass top drafting table last week to $20

HI Cliff,
That was me. Back then i was about the only one around who flew C/L (with my son, Aaron). Yes, I was a Coach, retired at the end of the 2008 school year. Thanks for the kind words on my flying. It was much better back then! LOL!!
Thanks, again
