Sorry if it came across as criticism, It was just a comment made to me from someone who was there. No reference was made to the suitability of either flying site (Well certainly not by me in the post above). Just that a few people were interested in more than one discipline the distance between F2B and the rest of the events was not ideal.

I gave up flying international due to the ever unsuitable circumstances I encountered. And by unsuitable I mean really, really bad...
The common denominator seems that non-F2B pilots start organizing events include F2B, without consulting those that
do have the knowledge.
Or worse, denying valid remarks about their faulty assumptions, leading to the problems mentioned.
