Since it has gotten to cold for the kids in the tent I have given up the shop. I am building a plane kit that I got off the bay that came all the way from Oahu. Just like I used to do when I was a teenager at home. Build on the bed and clear it off for bed time. Some may recognize the design, but it is a smaller version. More later.

Hmmmm. Looks like a Sneaker, or maybe a Dominator D-Bat? An old bachelor friend usta build FF's on a piece of plywood on the coffee table. When building was done for the day, he'd shake the schnipples off onto the carpet, stash the project under the sofa, and vacuum up the debris. Sounds workable! Greetings to the demented poochie... Right you are Walter, it is not one of yours. A guy named Henry produces these. I got a couple Half Fast kits from him and he does a very nice job for "hand cut" kits. The fit on the parts is very good.

Yes it is a Sneeker that was shrunk. It will be powered with Fox .15 Schnurle. No bladder or pacifier as I am building a metal tank for it. It is just for fun. HAPPY NEEW YEAR

Good choice on motors.....I need one of those! ;D

My Sneekers shrink when I wash and dry them.....
Now if I can figure out how to get the thing in the dryer I will have a use for that Fox .15.
Doc, I bet the wife is happy at bed time.

No complaints so far as I have to make the bed before I start. I clean up also cause I sleep in the same bed.

Just an update where I am at on this. A little slow waiting on daughter to bring tools and what ever else I need from the shop. I have also start my "Perky" kit from Blackhawk Models. Spent one day making fuel tank. Then installing it in the wing, planking and sanding. Hope to cover today.

Doc,
No need to shrink it for a Fox 15. I started flying F2D with full size sneekers on Foxs. Switched to the Force the next year for the same engine, but even larger airframe. It was a another year before Duke made the big shaft .15 that we eventually used.
See if you can replant that model and let it grow another couple of months :-)

I have the habit of gluing fingers and such to airplanes.
Please be careful Doc...would hate to hear you glued something to the bed sheets.
On second thought that would be funny. HB~> LL~

John,
You are just a humanist---letting the kids stay in the shop.
What a softie! H^^

You are not old Doc, you are refined. I just got my Sneeker kit from Walter today, it was waiting for me when we returned from a day trip to San Diego. Look forward to seeing you at VSC, Happy New Year Doc.

I traded a VooDoo kit for original Sneeker kit the other day.
Guess I'm just sneeky.....

Could be.

What with the weather, the holidays and not having full access to the shop, here is where I am at. Just need to finish fuel proofing the Sneeker and more carving/sanding on the Perky. Trying to get the controls into now.

Very nice work, Doc!
Best wishes,

Years ago when our kids were little, we had an old house with wood floors. I had a piece of plywood that fit across the arms of my recliner, and I built several planes on that while watching TV in the living room. I remember building a Jr. Ringmaster, a Sterling mustang, and a FLying Fool on that board. When I got done building for the day, I put the whole thing on the top of the fridge to keep the kids out of it. Then cleaned up the mess on the floor around the chair. Those were great times indeed.
