Some of those paint jobs would work great on stunters. I saved some of the pictures to my computer. "El Chupacabra" just screams for Pat Johnston to build another Gee Bee. I could see the "Ripslinger" paint scheme on any stunter, but it says "Windy U." to me! y1 Steve

I showed this to my 11 year old, he's ready to go see it now.  Very cool.  Thanks for the post.

So, this seems like a limited franchise.  After "Trains" and "Boats" I just don't see much of a market for "stationary engines".

This year at Oshkosh, they had the world premier of "Planes" and I think kids and adults alike will like it. It's a predictable story, but kids won't know that, and the characters are well thought out. Even though they are cartoon characters, they still have a very detailed and recognizable image of the airplane they are modeled after. We were the first audience to see the movie, and it was shown this past Friday night at the "Fly-In Theater" at the camp grounds at Oshkosh and the film was introduced there by the director, who's name escapes me now. They had a full size version of the Sky Tractor ag-plane there parked on the ramp next to one paineted up like the character "Dusty"  and it flew a few times during the week before departing for the NASCAR race at Pocono, PA.  Another reason to think about being a KidVenture Volunteer and getting in on cool stuff like this, free of charge!
I'll probably see it again with my nephew's kids! y1
Type at you later with an update on this years KidVenture happenings,

Yeah, you'll get to see one of our Airliners in the new livery. Shameless advertising for "The New American". Honestly, they look like Freighters to me.

I didn't get to stick around in OSH long enough to see it. I wish I could have because you can see the movie screen and hear the sound clearly from the patio deck at my buddy's trailer that he leaves on site year-round, would have been a fun evening. EAA's website says there was 15,000 people who sat in the grass for the "pre" premiere on Friday night. They also said that's three times as many people as they've ever had before for any of the evening movies.

And it was free! y1 All you could eat popcorn for free also! An interesting thing I saw while watching the crowd before the movie, was some security people intently watching the crowd with binoculars. I thought that maybe there was some kind of threat,  but as it got dark, they started to switch off to starlight scopes, and it then occurred to me that they were searching for possible people who were recording the movie. I saw one young lady remove a man from his seat, and then had him display everything that was on his cell phone. With today's technology, it would be easy to do.
   Sorry I missed you Wayne!
