Bet I gotcha going with that into...... Here's the deal, it's just opinion based so there's no real right or wrong answers, but whom do you consider to be the current Top 5 stick men in the C/L stunt business????

Here are my Top 5 current bests:

1.  Dave Fitzgerald
2.  Billy Werwage
3.  Orestes Hernandez
4.  Derek Barry
5.  Brett Buck
If there were a 6th " Todd Lee"

And yes I have had the honor of watching all of these flyers fly on numerous occasions!

Well, the Team Trials pretty much back up your assumptions!  There could be other prominent names listed, but I haven't heard of them flying much *lately*. ;D

*Currently*, Bill Rich would have to be very close to the list.

I think you would need to sneak Doug Moon in there somewhere, Matt Neuman, Bill Rich, etc.  Based on what I saw at the Nats, there's about 20 top level people out there actively flying.

Take the top ten pilots in front of a set of judges for 3 rounds.  Then a week later without devulging the scres from the previous week fly the top ten again in front of another group of judges.  Then compare.  I think even taking the top five pilots on one day fly in front of a set of judges, keeping the scores secret until after they fly in front of a second set of judges.  Or in reality fly the comnpetitors in front of all the judges and compare scores and see how they come out with individual judges.  DOC Holliday Am I confused or not? n~

That's pretty much how the Nats and team trials work, but compressed in time.

...and I tend to believe that Howard will soon be among the Top Dawgs.....(though now that I've retired from judging I can say that.)
