Samuel Can't Wait

I made the "mistake" of telling Samuel over the weekend that we leave for Brodak's next Saturday. I say mistake in jest only because he has been wearing me out talking about it and asking questions. I mean this kid won't shut up. LOL His excitement is contagious and reminded me that I should be thankful that I have a son who loves this hobby as much as I do. I'm so proud of all he's done and he flies pretty darn good for an 8 year old. As I write this I think about my own dad, long since passed, who spent countless hours building and flying with me when I was Samuel's age. I cherish those memories and I hope one day Samuel will too. I know this post is kind of sappy but I felt compelled to write it. We are looking forward to seeing many of our CL friends and meeting and making more at Brodaks. Safe travels to all attending.

Well when you get there and remember to say the old DOC Holliday says hi.  I too miss the times with my son and granddaughter flying CL models.

Kyle is riding up with us on Saturday,  he is just as excited about the trip as we are .  he and Sam will have the time of their  life , enjoying models and talking planes.

  That's great Will. Sam will be tickled. He keeps asking me if Kyle will be there. Now I can tell him.

I'm bringing Samuel 8 airplanes. By the end of the week I hope to have him flying inverted and doing 8's.

I don't have any kids of my own (that I'm aware of!) Mike, but I sure do smile when I read your posts about yours!

I'm glad you enjoy them Chris. Flying with Sam and watching him learn has been fun for both of us. Next week is going to be a blast.
