As some of you may know, I spend a considerable amount of time with my fiance Harriet in Odessa, Fl.
Although we spend a lot of time together, I missed flying at my home in South Carolina.
After a query here on Stunt Hanger, I was able to connect with a small group of C/L flyers who, coincidentally, have a field just a few minutes from Harriet's house.
Paul Taylor,
Dick Carville,
Bill Gibson
and Mike Waldron.
I knew Dick from many years ago when he lived an Massachusetts and showed up at some northeast contests, including Brodak's.
I met Mike a few years back at Brodak's and had the pleasure of judging him at the Canton, Ga contest.
I got to know Paul and Bill here in Florida.
Their (grass) field which is shared with a large RC group, is in very nice condition with just a few rough spots.
These fellows are very enthusiastic and really enjoy flying - lots of comradery and fun.
I'll really miss them after Harriet moves back to South Carolina and my travels to her house in Florida (460 miles door-to door) will no longer happen.
