Ode to JCT
« on: June 17, 2009, 01:22:15 PM »
The JCT is on the move to get it right
Hoping no one is in sight
remember if its loops you do
its three instead of two

With the new Zealot in flight
with hopes to get it right
the challenge of the contest
wishing they were the best

Rush to the rescue
with his impact he will pester you
precision bottoms abound
along with his rounds

The rest of us can try to fly
but it will be the same
and the next day in the Harold
it will read David Fitzgerald

All in fun

Maybe the Harold will read Dave, but Paul was just one point off with a brand new plane at the NWR.
Hopefully he can avoid the feathered friends of the air this year?

We've cut a lot of streamers
We've peeled a lot of tape
This year's focus
Sizes, bottoms and shapes

Sizes, bottoms, and shapes?
Egads you've lost your focus.
Buxom lass's are all at the lakes
with oil for the tanning, not watching your planes,
as the noses dig up the crocus.

I don't think any of us will worry about Paul beating us at the  NATs   LL~

I've heard it's been done
In Clovis and Spain,
But Dave's hard to beat
When he flies his own plane.

No, it was the 2000 world championships in France where he flew mainly in the rain.

Darn  and  all this time I thought " flying mainly in the rain"  was in Spain on the plain!

There was ONE pilot who flew his "plane", mainly in the rain, in Spain.

It was sideways rain, and the plane nosed in on the landing "attempt". He managed to get a flight in by the end of the round though, after repairs!

Rain's a pain when its on my plane
Being in Spain is not germane
The JCT never comes round here
They shouldn't worry, there's nothing to fear

EricV

ps:I had never got caught flying in the rain in my life, then 2 weeks ago it happened 2 days in a row. The second time was a real deluge. I'm just getting that Karma stuff over with before the Nats.  LL~

Memories of Yesterday

Off to Dave’s valley
Winds gust and they blow
It’s crunch time in P. land
Time for the show

I love VF and Magnum
That’s no Jive
But this year it’s Eather
And Pa’s 65

Stooge locked and loaded
Time for release
Birds dart thru the circle
Oh crap, now there’s GEESE

Keep steady and focused
These birds don’t matter
Long as balsa and feathers
Don’t turn into splatter

Z-2’s grovin’ in rounds
Lockin’ in square
Wow, pinch myself
Even bottoms are there

Twelve flights in two hours
Now this makes sense
STAY IN THE CIRCLE
DON'T HIT THE FENCE

All is steady and void of a rattle
In two weeks we’ll be there
For the war and the battle

Let it rain let it blow
Its just mashed potatoes
No wait, it’s Muncie
There might be Tornados!

That’s life in the round
Flyin’ on strings
What’s this, a new dent
And two brand new dings!

When birds fly through the circle,
It don't help to cuss and throw rocks.
When we have a goose problem,
We notify Chris Cox.
