Talk to Tom Morris. He has everything you need. Also Eric Rule might have
something you can use. RJ

Yep, Tom has them..

I make mine out of 4-40 nyloc nuts. Pretty sure I got the idea from a post on one of the forums. Hard part is you need a mill to machine the flats on each side of the nut.

How does one contact Tom Morris?
I tried calling Eric but the phone is off the hook and glued to his ear.  HB~>

Yes Pete, I have a couple of horns, but I seemed to have misplaced the sliders.

Couldn't you make one with the careful application of a file to a regular old nut?

I'm not criticizing, just wondering...

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

I have:  ctmorris at cableone dot net

I'm pretty sure that's current. He'll send you what you want with an invoice (you must pay the bill after getting the parts!).  H^^ Steve

Larry,
Send me a PM with your address and I'll send you a couple of slider nuts w/screws.  I have a bunch of them.
That will tide you over until you can get hold of Tom.

Larry, If you get some of these make sure you send each of them a couple
rolls of your best Monokote! You know, the stuff you use to make your
planes shiny.  RJ

I can use two slider nuts immediately
I misplaced a small zip lock bag of them and didn't realize they were missing until the very moment That I needed them.

I'm lazy...I don't make anything anymore that I can get as cheap and good as these things.

I used to make my own control horns, but don't do that any more either.  It's really fun being lazy!  More flying time!

PS:  Larry, the slider nuts went to the postoffice early this morning.  You should have them by friday.

Need to be a little careful with these. I think they are too narrow and don't engage enough of the horn upright. And make sure you put a hard washer under the ball where it bears on the upright. Jim didn't, tightening the ball spread the sides of the upright slot, and eventually it slipped and crashed the airplane. At the NATs, of course.
