I just returned from the 2006 Walt Musciano Commemorative Contest, hosted by the Northern Virginia Control Line Association. It was a great event , but a little wet at times. I finally got to meet some folks I’ve read about here and in print. I met Walt and must say what a fine gentleman, who seemed to be enjoying himself greatly. Bob Z. had to leave before the final event( 1/2a Team race) so that he and Walt could get back before it got too late. Since Bob was not there to defend his place in the overall standings, Clayton Barry won the overall title with a 1st place finish in Team Race. I had the honor of being his replacement pitman since Henry Werner had to leave, and it was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. ( I wore my Stunt Hangar T-shirt, that must have given Clayton the edge to win!!)
