What constitutes a full lap
« on: May 10, 2010, 09:24:12 AM »
I know this has been asked many times before but does a lap start and end at the release point or when it passes the judges?

Thanks again,
John

For the takeoff and level flight maneuver it's the release point. For the others it's down wind give or take a bit.
I may be wrong but I doubt it.

The initial laps are from the release point.  Fly past the release point 5 times and start your pattern.  Which means if you start just before the judges on the circle, you can start the reverse wingover right in front of the bad guys(judges).  Then it is almost two laps between maneuvers.  The loops should be almost 2 1/2 laps after end of RW and after the end of hour glass.  Hope I got this right as I am doing a visual here at the computor.  Best bet is print off the rules and read them each night before turning off the light when you go to bed.  It is as good as reading the BIBLE to get sleepy.   H^^
