The Ferrari 400 Superamerica shown above is a very nice looking car (and not red). But what proof is there that the show car in the white tent is the same car as the junker in the barn?

In fact, the Super series started with the 410 SuperAmerica powered by the 5 liter Lampredi V-12.
The 410 evolved to the 400 SuperAmerica and finally to the 500 Superfast.
The production was very limited, often for people of royalty. They were actually nicknamed the "Royal Ferraris".
No two were alike.
I may be wrong but, as I recall, some of the later cars were fitted with Columbo V-12s. VERY different from the Lampredi engines.
