Cool but not practical.  It has no payload capacity.  It's like our models the aircraft is the payload.

True but they were using nasty old gas.  Gas has a large amount of energy per pound.  The sun has only so much energy per sq ft.  On the environmental side of the discussion the batteries we use have some really nasty stuff in them.   S?P
