Incredibly cool. I want one, and a track to run it on. Much cooler than tether cars (but I wouldn't want to try to get insurance, jump the rail at 150 mph and fly into the crowd, sounds like a big payout).

I think I posted a link to some youtube videos of flash steam hydros a few years ago. Very impressive. Interestingly, I have a book from about the early 30's that described flash steam boat motors in some detail. There's a lot of parts!
One striking thing about the old "boys book of model boats" is what they expected an enterprising 10-year-old to be able to do back in 1930.

Brett...You need to stop in at Lost Hills for an FAI FF contest and see a geared F1C fly. Almost as noisey as a Dynajet, from 2.5cc's, no pipe, no nitro. Might still be a few events in Nov. H^^ Steve
