I'm not wanting to spreading a rumor, I just heard one yesterday. Has Sig closed recently? One of the fliers told me that on Saturday.
Thanks for the replys.

I ordered econokote samples for 2.99 ang got them the other day

My understanding is that they are only vending products that they manufacture....and are selling down their inventory of other manufacturer's stuff....plus, they are apparently not mixing new paint....
They were one of the few that didn't abandon control line entirely in the 70's/80's.....plus they are great folk...

WOW --- Second hand info to start with, more second hand info to add fuel to the fire. Seems to me the best info would come from the horses mouth. Call them tomorrow and find out from them. That way we will all find out from first hand information.

There are a lot of rumors flying around the web that Sig Manufacturing is closing. First and foremost I want to dispel such rumors. We are not going anywhere. If you are a Tower Hobbies shopper and have seen that they have discontinued all of our planes it is their decision to do so. This does not mean we are closing. This is Towers choice. What this means is you will be buying from your local Sig Dealer, another online supplier or from SIG directly. We are having trouble getting ARF's out of China right now but this is an industry wide issue not just us. As far as kits go we have a container of balsa due here soon and all of our kits will be back in stock shortly. We are in full swing making our fuel, paints, hardware and all other SIG products. We here at SIG want to thank all of you for your continued support in these tough economic times.
Best Regards

They just made and shipped me 100 1/2A bellcranks and 25 sets of wire landing gear for the Baby Ringmaster kits last week. I don't think they are going anywhere.

This is why I was checking. I talked to the manager at our local hobby shop today and HE DID clear it up for me. SIG is not closing, it is just that Sig is going to stop being available at Tower just as it was posted above! Again, Not spreading rumors, Just checking on friends!
Thanks for the replys!

Between my neighbor and I we bought 5 Sig kits last month. (and he picked up another from a local add) We usually go direct to Sig but decided to start purchasing through our local RC shop. We wanted this guy to continue to think about the company that supports control line flying. It seems to be working.
Sig Customer Support has been great. I have called them many times and always get the information I need. Last call was to check on what they supply as far as airfoiled balsa sheet. I will be checking on this again soon as it was on its at that time.
Great folks.. Love their kits. We are asking that the local RC supplier start stocking their fuel again. (We bought the last of it)

I use their 25% castor to break in motors. Good products. Love their kits.
