Looking for a heat sealing tool here's one similar to a Monokote iron. It even comes with a Cotton Sock. :P
check it out.

That's exactly what I settled for. They have a walk-in bricks & mortar store less than a mile from me. Hand tools, too.

Well that's a far cry from the GE travel iron I used to use when I first started covering sailplane wings with MonoKote!! It's funny, but when I used to work at the local hobby shop part time, we used to get orders for MonoKote irons a dozen at a time from McDonnell-Douglas and their composite shop!! I used to deliver the package to a remote facility they had in St. Charles, MO because it was handy to me long my way there, home or to my regular job. We had several customers that were employees at MAC and we got feedback from them that usually only about 6 or 8 irons ever got to their intended destination!! I could tell which of our customers worked at MAC because they never bought Exacto knife blades!! I guess that's why a goof fighter jet costs 50 million dollars!! BAck then at least!
Type at you later,
Dan McEntee

LOL!
I used my Monocoat iron to do the edge banding on all my cabinets!

The same iron is sold by Stewart Systems for doing fabric on full scale airplanes. It works great on models as well.

I wish the shoe was curved a bit, but this is what is available now.

Onn the one that I have the shoe is curved up a bit more than an 1/8" at the tip.
