That's a great piece.  Seeing his eyes light up when he realized it was him is priceless.

Thanks for sharing,

In the 1970-80's I worked on quite a few of those WW2 36" FL camera's. I used the lens from one on my 35mm Canon with a bellows adapter for bird photography in the Everglades. ~^
I repaired one of the cameras for a reconnaissance P38 that use to be stored at Davis island airport,Tampa. I do have pictures of the P38 and the nose is a lot different than the fighter version.

One of my favorite books of all time is a Spitfire story about the life of Douglas Bader, a Brit who lost his legs in a crash and still flew the Spitfire to become an ace.  It's titled "Reach For The Sky"
I heartily recommend it to all readers.
Ya gotta love the old Spit'!  Quite an airplane.

John,

WOW! Thanks for posting that short!

It's good to view a film about an aircraft used solely for reconnaissance, not all Warbirds carried bullets.

Couldn't help it, but what comes to mind is my Mig-3 reconnaissance aircraft. used for absolutely the same purpose, except the Mig-3, from what I can gather, operated at high altitudes.

Thanks again John, great film.
