I was just wondering if there has been any word regarding the Northwest Regionals for 2015?
Thank you,
Shawn

Hey Shawn, you planning on a trip to Oregon?? It would be good to see you. Here's the Flying Lines link if you don't have it. http://flyinglines.org/

The location is Roseburg , Or. which is 70 miles closer to California than Springfield. Last year was not a lot of people I hope this year more guys from California attend.

44th Northwest Control-Line Regionals, Roseburg Municipal Airport, Roseburg, Ore. The Regionals returns to the site where it was held from 1996 to 2001. All details tentative; watch this site for updates. E-mail for information.
The site to watch is flyinglines.org

Back in Roseburg. Cool.
And no Portland Spring Tune-up listed. Hmmm....

I understand there will be room for 5 circles at Roseburg, so that gets it much closer to what they had in Eugene. Let's hope the contest gets back to where it belongs.

I hope we can have all the events there this year. I think the turn out would have been way better last year if it wasn't just PA and combat.

I want to caution that at this writing (Dec. 23, 2014), the important words in the FL listing are "all details tentative." Nothing is yet set in stone but it is our goal to do so within a couple of weeks. So, I would estimate that by mid-January, we will have either confirmed that there will be a Regionals in Roseburg this year, or that the idea was scrapped. At this point, things look pretty positive.
If we are able to make it happen, I think everyone will be pleased. The site is a bit smaller, so the schedule may be a bit tighter, but the community has been very accommodating in the past. There's an excellent hotel/restaurant just near the flying site that (in the past -- we haven't checked this year) gave us good rates for the contestants.
Past Regionals in Roseburg (1996-2001) drew more than 100 contestants, so the potential for an excellent contest is there.
Stay tuned on the FL site and we'll try to post updated info as soon as it's available.

Concerning the April Spring Tuneup in Portland the Jimy Walker Contest , If we can get something posted on Flying Lines that is in concrete I can get my room booked at the discount price offered to me. Do we have a CD for the event ?
Thanks, John
