Northwest Ohio finally got the weather!
« on: April 17, 2009, 05:47:23 PM »
Wow, finally!  Jeff Traxler and his dad made the hour trip from Toledo and we put a good four hours in at the flying field!  Talk about rusty!  jeff was celebrating his 50th birthday and says it was his best present ever to get to fly.
Jeff flew his Tutor II with an LA46 and is showing some good improvement.  If he gets to fly more this year he should be showing up in the beginners' circle before the end of the season.
I warmed up with my own Tutor II and then started the rigors of trimming last years' Ephesian.  I finally have it turning well and even got the trim so that it turns the same inside as outside.  Need to adjust the tank height a bit to care for the slower inverted run and I think we're ready for some serious practice.  The really great thing is that it now flies nearly identicle to my two Crosswind stunters so There won't be a lot of hand adjustments involved in getting used to it.
The weather was absolutely fabulous with 3 to 4 knots, 72 degrees, and CAVU.
Blessings,
Will

Will.  Roger Wildman, Mike Eber and I are going flying today (Sat.) at AMA. Weather forcast, 70's, winds at 5 mph, and SUNNY. I will be testing the new G-Nobler, and Mike and Roger have new ships to test also, maybe some pictures tonight.

Will and Allen, I went flying here in Dayton on Thursday, with my dad and brother. My brother had a new cardinal and flew very well, maybe he will come to some contest this season.Hope to see you sometime this summer.

Hi Scott,
It's always great to see the Dayton stunt team members!  I see you got Les out with you, too, way to go.
Will

Allen,
I would have loved to come down today, but previous committments kept me near home.  Drat.

Too far for m e to drive, but, here in Kansas it rained most of the weekend.  Still putting base coats on the "Arctic Fox" and the "Cardinette".  Friday night was a gorgeous night for opeining night at the dirt track.  DOC Holliday
