Guys,
I am redesigning the ARF for electric, and will be refinishing to my own taste etc. Couple of questions::
I realize I need to replace the push rods in the stock Nobler, but does everyone replace the metal bell crank with a 4" Tom Morris or similar??
Also what about the fixed lead outs, it is worth modifying with a sliding unit??
Thanks for the input

Hi Tim,
I replaced mine with a ARF Nobler set-up available from Tom Morris. A little work for the belcrank, but worth it in my opinion. I had to relieve the first rib to prevent binding and open the fuse at the elevator horn/clevis to allow free movement. Still a good flier over three years later with an old Fox 35.

I flew mine with stock bellcrank and leadouts. I replaced the forward pushrod with a 4-40 rod and the rear with a carbon fibre rod and HD clevises. The stock pushrod/clevises are dangerous.

Tim,
I uaed a Tom Morris Set, Bellcrank, Pushrods, Horns.. can't go wrong with this stuff, I would not trust anything bu Tom Morris or my own .. .. The leadouts will work OK, If you are leaving monokote, easy to cut , move and re monokote, not so easy to make adjustable , but a nice option to have as you know ..

Thanks all,
I have already ordered the stuff, since I removed all the covering for a silk span/dope finish, I figured I will redo all the systems including adjustable lead outs, adjustable weight box tom Morris system.
Thanks for your input, it is nice to be able to bounce stuff off our peers

Tim.
I used the Tom Morris control system also in my ARF Nobler. I had to change the push rod end at the elevator control horn. The fuselage is not wide enough to handle the way the push rod is bent there. You can will be able tell when you get your system. I moved the leadouts forward per the Line III formula. Now I wish that an adjustable lead-out guide was installed even though that would take mush work in that wingtip.

Only thing replaced on my ARF Nobler was leadouts and bellcrank. On it's fourth engine. Using it as a test bed. No cowl as I didn't want to cut it up anymore for the Evo .36.
