Mavis Henson Field in Woodland CA became the first control-line flying field in US, and possibly world, history to have the best professional bicycle racers in the world pass by during a race. Yes, at about 2:00 pm today the Amgen Tour of California went right past the field on the 113 mile run from Santa Rosa to Sacramento, 144 of the top pro racers in the world in this eight-day stage race. Lots of these guys get paid over $1 million a year to race bikes. This race is a huge deal being watched around the world, and our humble field is part of the scenery!
