Title: No Flying Today
Post by: john e. holliday on June 11, 2014, 05:55:22 AM
As the title says, no flying today except on the highway.   Promised the wife we would go to Hersheys PA for a day if she let me go to Brodaks.   Anyway, I got my two officials in carrier yesterday.   Will get to see more of southern PA.  Probably be back late tonight as yahoo says its 300+ miles one way.

Doc
Take your wife to Indiana, PA to see the Jimmy Stuart Museum.  It is only about 80 miles each way.

See an Oscar setting beside a Bendix Air Racing Trophy!

Doc, Along with the chance of visiting Gettysburg before you leave, how about giving some Carrier reports.

Drive carefully John and have a great time.  No flying here either- four inches of rain on the flying field in two days.  Might dry out by next week.  Having flying withdrawal symptoms.  See ya soon.

Hey Doc, Are you familiar with a little town called Moundville SW of Nevada? I was born in KC but lived in Moundville until age 7 then we moved to Washington State. Richard

The Flight 93 crash site memorial near Shanksville is on your route of flight.

Maybe John Vlna might give a report in the carrier section.  Other wise will have to wait for next issue of Control Line World.   I was on the road Wdnesday.

It made the wife happy and I got to see how they do it.  Yesterday after dinner at Hartley's I let her take her time at a couple of stores we don't have at home.   Anyway scale flies today.
