I'm willing to bet that if you break out a kite and launch it, the wind will die down to a light CLPA perfect breeze. It's called the Charlie Brown effect. LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~

"Great minds think alike." And more so if you are trying to impress someone with your "new kite." :P

This is "that time of the year" in Texas. Very windy most of the time and always on storm alert. The hail from last week took out my roof--again. Last time was 8 years ago. The adjuster was here this morning and said the roof was toast even though it does not look all that bad. I guess you have to know what to look for regarding shingle damage.
At least the old pickup was in the garage. Many others were not so lucky.

Could have flown today here. A bit of wind (10-15) passing showers. But that hasn't been the case for quite awhile. Day I left for Tucson (after I was gone, thank God) winds hit 60mph with gusts to 75. That would have been interesting.

Joe Gilbert uses a log chain for a wind sock. Says it's OK to fly until it starts snapping links off.

Been windy here in Shawnee since the last flying session. Today going to get my granddaughter at work, could have swore the old Suburban changed lanes several times. Just came in from working on the mower getting ready to mow the field. H^^

Strong gusty winds in Tucson today also. Glad it didn't happen during VSC last week!
