Title: Nice trike stooge
Post by: Tim Wescott on May 04, 2013, 03:20:25 PM
The picture is crappy, but here's a tailwheel stooge that my flying buddy showed up with at the field today.

It started out as a lid from a compartment on a boat that Steve Helmick (I think) mounted a regular stooge onto, then gave to Tom.

Tom started flying his 1/2-A Shark, which has a tailwheel trike gear.  So he whacked a section out of the stooge, hinged it, padded it, and voilą!  A stooge.

You could do the same thing with a thick cutting board, I think.

Yep, many ways of doing things.

Umm, actually the Half-a-Shark has trike gear.....  Also, the arm is spring loaded.

I edited my post.  I actually had "tailwheel" in the title originally.  I had "trike gear" and "tailwheel" swapped in my brain.  Too much sun yesterday.
