The picture is crappy, but here's a tailwheel stooge that my flying buddy showed up with at the field today.
It started out as a lid from a compartment on a boat that Steve Helmick (I think) mounted a regular stooge onto, then gave to Tom.
Tom started flying his 1/2-A Shark, which has a tailwheel trike gear. So he whacked a section out of the stooge, hinged it, padded it, and voilą! A stooge.
You could do the same thing with a thick cutting board, I think.

Umm, actually the Half-a-Shark has trike gear..... Also, the arm is spring loaded.

I edited my post. I actually had "tailwheel" in the title originally. I had "trike gear" and "tailwheel" swapped in my brain. Too much sun yesterday.
